I'm using a GuiObjectView to change decals and faces on a player, which is working good...but the problem is that I need to set them by name (which is what normal players use). Is there any way to do this?

No, frames are enumerated.
Just read them from the ifl list and check which index matches your print name.

Ifl list? Huh?
I found .setIFLFrame when I was searching the forums for GuiViewObject. That statement came up, and it seemed to work correctly...but then I needed to do this.

You're being kind of lazy. You know there are IFL lists in the player folder with all the decal names on them. You're just waiting for someone to point out the obvious here, and i'm not going to.
