its actually an issue of perception,
and since having a different perception is only natural to every human, he is not handicapped. he probably stated the similarity to a koala due to it having a more rounded "beak", which looks more like a snout. the only real thing that would make it seem chicken-like is the gobble, which is more commonly associated with a turkey.
but hey like i said, its all perception.
