Yeah, i kind of miss the server info, i liked to see what players were in a server before i joined, what add-ons it has, etc.

It'll be back for 3.1, I just didn't have the time to put it in 3.0.

THAT . . . Is off-topic.

Wow this is epic! I love how you can look at mods on the forums without leaving Blockland. I also like how organized it is. Good job!

Ephi something is wrong... in my compioter when i downloaded the 3.0 (it continuing hapening with 2.0 too) still not working with my blockland

I absolutely love the new Mod Manager and how smooth it is.  No more waiting for 3 hours just to get to the add-on's page.

In fact, all of the features of the Mod Manager work so well and are so compatible with everything that it kind of reminded me of installing and uninstalling software on a Mac.

And thank you for including a "delete" feature.  I hated having to go into the add-ons folder itself to delete add-ons.

And also, big thumbs up for having the bargain bin.  I know that I can trust you guys a lot more (as to whether an add-on works perfectly or not) than I could in RTB 2.

However, I have found a couple of bugs:

When you sync up your add-ons from RTB 2 to RTB 3, some of the ones that are supposed to be deleted are still there.  So then I end up having to go to the regular add-ons list, click "default", then enable all of my RTB 3 add-ons, and then write down the names of all of the add-ons in the regular list which are still disabled so that I could go into the add-ons folder and delete them.

Also, it never synced my maps.  I had a couple maps which were already on RTB 3, and it never synced them.

Other than that, excellent work, I look forward to the next update.

We've been having some issues with server load with regards to the numbers of people using RTB concurrently. At peak times we're getting about ~5 requests per second which is quite extreme (for us). I'm looking at switching the webserver software to something better suited to our API like Lighttpd which might make it run a lot faster.

For those of you that don't know, the RTB API serves all the requests you make when browsing the mod manager or hosting a server etc.

I've also been running the API on a debug build of php to track down some mysterious apache segfaults that have been cropping up (which may also contribute to general slowness), but I'll let you guys know what I find.

Ok looks like there's a nasty flaw in the API causing a few segfaults and instead of getting PHP patched to fix it, I'm just going to re-jig the API. It'll probably take about 2-3 days.

  • In-Game Add-On Manager - This system will allow you to browse Add-Ons submitted to the RTB Add-Ons System, comment on them, rate them and finally download and install them without ever having to leave Blockland.
By that, do you mean we can enable them Ingame, and they will just appear there?
That would be helpful, massively.
