Author Topic: ZenGen: The useable, and modable PC.  (Read 5075 times)

Just skimed, but it looks like the first (and only) computer that can claim to actually be work.

Blockintosh.

Made this in 3-4 2-3 hours.

Estimated Time to add programs - 30-60 mins
Estimated Time to add new feature/calculator 60-90 mins

Edit: Update: When I am at my moms house, I will basically re-do the exterior of the case. Its too boxy, even though PC's are. I will add more shape to the sides.

Nice Zenthos, although your processor is huge.
I suggest copying all the events into 1x1f bricks.
Or, if you wanted to, arrange said 1x1fs into a smaller processor-shaped model.

That's what I did my with my advanced computer, and it's a lot more visually appealing.

Just skimed, but it looks like the first (and only) computer that can claim to actually be work.

My MicroBlock application.
My Blockintosh application.

Both were computers that did something, not just changed colors.
They each had applications; one had a word processor (MBLK), and the other had Paint, Music Player, and Garage Band (Note that this wasn't a garage band that just changed colors, you picked sounds and could hit play and it would play them in sequence) (BiT)*.

The word processor even had a save feature.

Please don't just flame the clans because some members make color-changing computers.
Other members in the clan, including me, make computers that actually do things.

Again, some computers DO suck (sorry guys), but others are pretty decent.
I'm in no way flaming Zenthos, MicroBlock, Blockintosh, or other computer makers.
I'm just trying to get past your biased views on the topic at hand.

*V2 of this computer actually has a LOT more working applications.

MMkay, I was gonna do a word proccesor thing, but then I would have to remake all of the pixels.

You know what, maybe next update. Paint is impossible until I get a curser system to work.

New Part to be added: Ram

A bunch of prints to remember stuff temporarily, also, a way to store a possible word file.

Pixils are better in massive numbers.  But pixels are even better thatn pixils!  Pwn comp that might actually work.  You should make it a vacuum tube comp because its resolution is only 10X14 so it has to be really old.

???

Yea, let me go make a 1024x768 BL PC.

It'll take 30mins? Maybe?

I'm working on something very similar.

I tried making a 0.5x0.5x0.33 brick for high reasolution pixels, but it ended up crashing the game.

Honestly I don't know who saved/loaded it, but that's the crappy version you saw.
I don't even have that save anymore; that's how old it is, lol.

But thanks.

Blockintosh.
Not released...

So now it's three people trying to release the first print based computer?
