Ladios' Slate Edit Maps

Is there any way to fix the problem where if you are in a flying vehicle and you hit the ground hard enough you just go through it? I can't get this to happen with the original slate, so I figured it was something with the map.

I am concerned that I will actually ahve to go about redoing each map induvidually. Whenever badspot changed the original slate map in v9, lots of people have been having issues with these...
