now we need rain and lighting emmitters
:)

THIS IS SO PWN I CANT EVEN BEGIN TO START TO TALK I MEAN THIS IS PERFECT FOR SPACE RPG'S :cookie:X100!

yes you cant even start to talk.

Man I really wish I didn't suck at making particle decals, making a set of Rain Droplet Splash particles to put in an animation is really hard.

Also looking into the Lightning bolt thing, I got a good idea on how to make it. Animated particles rock.

so much of an epic win the forums would crash if i posted the amount of cookies i would give you

Need more details on droplet - a single droplet that's shaded with a transparency gradient?

You got it working! :O :O :O :D

Wtf 80% of them look nearly exactly the same...
You mean they make squares? I like squares.

Hey it could have been worse, they could have been making dots instead, ugly round things. Also the pictures don't really do these emitters any justice, the shields "rotate" and other emitters spin around.

Possibly yeah, I made a droplet but it's meh.

Current major issue is making a set of Splash textures. I'm trying to make complimentary Ground effects for the weather stuff, like a ground snow emitter that will create fluffy snow on the ground, and a Rain Splash emitter that will make it appear like the droplets are actually impacting the ground and splashing instead of simply "disappearing".

I'll start working on the fluffy snow :3

Edit: So fluffy...

But so laggy

dude the magic emitter link is broken, make a new link.

well media fire doesnt work too well for me, make a new Magic Emitter link at file front plz.

lol so i'm guessing you like my weather effect idea :D

ok, mediafire works for most people filefront works for few, im one of them so media fire is just more accessible

also i have another 2 ideas: either a emmitter than scrolls randomly for 10s between your emitters maybe(not even sure this will ever work besides WE) and something like a string of fire/ rope that swirls and bends while making it look like reverse gravity

well there is an improvement i would like to state..

the sandpit emitter, it looks insanely awesome, and i was going to make a deathmatch with it as the floor.. only problem was that i could still see the baseplate through all the little openings in the sandpit. So i think you should tighten it up a little so that it looks more like one solid mass rather than hunks of sand falling into a center zone.

yeah I was trying to figure something out for this that would work but still be lagless, and I thing I've gotten a good idea. Again I'll look into it. Currently working on Weather, and also seperating the emitters into more categories: Sci-fi, Casual, Weather, and Large.

Weather effects will work on the same principle as the Sparks emitters, in that you combine 2 emitters to get the full effect (Like, for rain, you have the Rain emitter which drops rain on the ground, and a RainSplash emitter that creates splashes on the ground, simulating rain impact with the ground). Hail is also in the works and will have 2 emitters. The snow I made is probably, by far, my most favorite emitter and I'll be making a few different types of it.
