Well anyways, my dad and I talked about this and that and he said he will buy it for Xbox so I don't have to buy a whole new computer just for a game.

In the end a decent gaming computer is actually cheaper than a console if you consider the total cost of ownership.

Consoles:

  • Games cost more
  • Accessories (extra controller, memory units, wireless upgrades) are expensive
  • You have to pay for online service (At least for xbox 360)
  • Consoles can't be upgraded
  • Have only rudimentary web browsing features at best
  • Can't do much more effectively other than just games

PC's, especially home built ones, are cheaper, more powerful, more flexible and ultimately a better option over a console.

i say it all the time, a console is the poors man's gaming computer.

that's fair. however personally, unless your a hardcore fan of multiple console-only franchises. it will overall be a waste of time

I may as well point out that I have 8 GB of memory. The ladies love it.
I am trying to vision something like this, it's fun.
