I bet the help section will be filled with "how do i make physcis???????????"

I also laughed at the last two pages. masterchief2142, you are a dumbass. Good day sir.

Wow! i love that

This isAWESOME

I don't think people understand that this is Client side not server side, oh well there dreams will be ruined when released ahahahah.
Not really. It doesn't make much difference unless people start asking for 'on physics brick touch' events, which would be impossible.

'Rube Goldberg' machines and the like would appear extremely similarly if not identical to all clients, assuming there is no lag.

question will the bricks that have been fake killed be able to walk over like real bricks?

No. You cannot stand on them.

No. You cannot stand on them.
thank you for answering my question.

Exactly, I think kompressor just didn't want to give everyone false hope, opening the way for people to complain about it being out of sync. I think with good latency, physics would be in sync enough for people to see some cool things together.

By the way, for those of you wanting avatars to fall apart, why isn't it possible now? You could hide the avatar on death and spawn body parts that bounce can't you? They did it in TBM I believe, but maybe the way the avatar's pieces are animations would make it impossible.

It would be possible, the only problem I can see might be with spawning a load of physics vehicles/objects inside each other - it would probably react like skis crashing into each other, exploding at a very high speed rather than just bouncing away or falling apart.

I'm looking forward to tossing a grenade into a 1x1 box, getting behind a bunker, facing the other way and watching crap fly over my head and shower the ground.

:D

We're using Bullet for the brick physics, which is a lot better than the vehicle solver. So probably they'd be ok, if we implemented that... which we we haven't.

That explains why the bricks fall half way into the ground in the video like they were pillow. Are you are just using fancy emitters like the pong and the physics of the gravity rocket?

Uh, no, you are thinking of the projectile system, this is a whole other thing.

This would be the Bullet he's talking about:
