As long as they're related to the server.

I even turn off defaults most of the time.

For example, Skis are always off.
I only turn on the defaults that I'm actually using. Generally no vehicles, and only weapons I actually plan on giving people for the minigame.

Only if I'm making a build that actually has buildings. Most of the time I'm only making quickly done terrain builds with some walls in order to show off an upcomming gamemode (which I still haven't been working on).

I find that doors tend to get in the way as they funnel the players through one small opening.
