Author Topic: GTX 295 beats 4870 X2  (Read 2045 times)

So recently Nvidia's top cards the 200 series and the 9800GX2 have been beaten by the 4870 X2. ATI seemed to be doing really bad until now, they released the 4870 X2 and it is apparently one beast of a card I don't know the specs exactily but 2GB of GDDR5 RAM made me cum. And now Nvidia is making a GTX 295 and it will surpass the 4870 X2

Yeah that is kind of what I though at first but I have an ATI card on my moms computer and it has never done me wrong.

I think I'm gonna wait it out for a graphics card for my new system, and get one of these.  It'll be expensive, though.

Yeah the GTX 280 is like $500 GTX 260 is like $415 and the 4870 X2 is around $550  I think. Oh forgot the 9800 GX2 is still around $500 and I have been looking at the 9800 GTX+, and for the price it actually is a really good card I have been researching it and it seems to almost measure up to the GTX 260 in some aspects.

Best thing to do right now is buy a 260 and then buy a 300 when they come out.

Best thing to do is save your god damn money.

My way is the saving money way. If you want power now then you can buy a 260 then wait for the new things.

Old news. The GTX 295 is still vastly more expensive.

I think the topic's title is backwards.

Don't get things just because they're the most expensive. Research.

Looks can be deceiving.

ok then, but what about this, you have one-hundred thousand dollars, then would you buy it?
