my beards actually quite long. it just grows properly and gets bushier and longer instead of just growing straight down. yours is probably longer than mine, but damn dude you need to do something with that disgusting mess.

I can literally see how long your beard is from this picture. It isn't "quite long". If your beard grew longer and you didn't trim it, yes it would grow down, because that is what longer beards do. And yes I can tell you trim your beard, which is why I said you are not going for length. You are going for what you think other people looks best. My chin hairs are literally like four times as long as yours. If I push them upwards they go past my lips.
I am proud of my beard, and I know women who do like my beard, and I know men who do want my beard considering they can't grow any hair. This may come as surprising to you, but your taste is not the same as everyone else's and you are not some type of beard wizard because you have met a number of people who like your beard. You are of no higher authority than I am. That said, I don't want your beard, does that mean I can call your facial hair a disgusting mess too?
Edit: I challenge you to not shave your beard at all (except your neck) for the next six weeks and try and tell me again that your hair doesn't grow straight. You are polish, you do not have afro-textured hair.
