Self love is not physical disfigurement and public humiliation. Mr Man's idea of self love also includes rubbing stuff all over herself. Perhaps that's why you feel a bond of kinship with her.
Think of it this way, I was born disfigured and need it corrected. I'm not a man, and being born in the body of one isn't exactly comfortable. And seriously public humiliation? If I were humiliated to be myself, I'd still be in the closet. I'm feeling better than ever lately, thank you very much. And once again, as much as I'm into, I'm not into stuff rubbing.
