1. It's Eric Hartman.
2. There's no company from what I know. That's just a license.
3. Badspot works with Kompressor.
4. One person, Kompressor helps now and then.

You're stupid.
There's no company but he licensing the game under it? What?

Of course there is a company!
Why would he say: "If you can't pay with credit card, send a mail with the money to step 1 games, a company that doesn't exist!"
No one would say they have a company where you have to send the money to if there is no company!
You're the idiot!

I have to agree. Even if it is just a 2 man company it's still a company.

  • ID 1-100 were never sold.
  • ID 2500-2999 (Not 100% sure about the ID range) was sold in bulk to a company at a reduced price.
  • Advertising. Those little Blockland banners cost loads of money.
  • Paypal fee, which is included in the $20 price.
  • Master server: hardware is expensive, bandwidth is expensive.
  • I can imagine kompressor was paid for his work too. (Octree and brick physics)
  • TGE license.
  • 3DS max for models.
  • Photoshop for textures and decals.
  • Truckloads of M&Ms and booze to get through those countless coding nights.
  • ...

  • ID 2-100 were never sold.
  • ID 2300-2999 (Not 100% sure about the ID range) was sold in bulk to a company at a reduced price.
Fixed, I think Kompressor eather bought ID 1 or it was given to him. I am also sure badspot had the range of 2300 - 2999 due to never actully seeing ID's 2300 or around that range.

Step 1 games is a Limited Liability Company. In otherwords, it doesnt do anything aside from make it so people can not sue Badspot directly for anything relating to the game, and instead would sue the company, Step 1 games.

Id's 2-99 were not sold. Not all of the 2000 Id's were sold.
After taxes and such, each ID only gives Badspot about $9
Also, everything else Geek said that I didnt.

Someone knows his business studies! And the ids from 2-99 are reserved for special people (us beta testers used some of them before Blockland RC1 was available to you guys). Finally, I don't think kompressor paid for ID 1.

I heard badspot hangs in an inner circle of crazy indie developers. That all gamle together, betting on dog fights. So he may be broke

Got to have those.

No, you sirs are the idiots here.

Badspot works alone in his own company. He's basically the only one in his company.

Try and learn stuff about Blockland before you hop on the forums and try to sway everyone with your 'knowledge'.

Plus, he's made $85,500 approx.
He only gets about $9.50 from one key because of Garage Games and Step 1 Games.

...

Hello, he only makes like, 9 bucks per key. If he sold one key every hour, it would hardly be enough to survive off of.

He isn't rich, unless he has some godly job of some sort.

blockland is prob only one egg in his many nests.

dolla dolla bee'il y'all!

20$ - 10 for Garagegames afaik and like -5 for having the server up and the forums +food +tools +other stuff.
If thats true, then he gets a hefty $185,000. Still a good amount.
