Author Topic: Garry's mod machinima questions.  (Read 2193 times)

As far as players go, it seems to me that NPCs and your physical player are the only things that have facial movements, and even move for that matter without being prompted by you. However, your player can't move his mouth (Question 1: Is there a way to change that?), walk without anything in his hands (question 2: Can that be changed?) or move his eyes (Question 3: Guess).

Basically, what is the best approach for having people in a Gmod machinima look natural (preferably that you can do by yourself).

Lit fuse does a fine job at animating characters:

I still don't know how they do it though.

Holy stuff.
That was made with Garrys mod, Right?

I like Ignis Solus the most. It makes me all sad and stuff. :(

I talked to the (Co)Owner of Lit Fuse once, and he told me that the way to do this is with NPCs, like your assumption. If you check the Valve store under DVDs/Books, there's Choreography for said films, which I really want to get.

Okay, another question, is it possible to nicely crop video with a default program in Vista?

No.

I'm learning to use After Effects, so I could help ya out. Got steam? PM me whatever instant messenger you have and I'll add you if your interested.

You have been learning for like around 6 months now. It is not wise to help someone if you haven't mastered something...

After Effects is also useless you have another editing program. So even if you are using AE you will need to use WMM.

Edit: WMM is fine for doing things.

The easiest way I can think of is to use a program called "Crazy Talk", even though the results are slightly unrealistic, and you can only make one image talk. Not a whole animation.
