I am confused. Can you disable physics, or is it automatically enabled forever?

I was just watching the Bounce video, if you jumped against the roof of a house, would that fly off?

If any of these questions answer 'Yes' I automatically hate physics...

You can disable physics and they can disable themselves when it gets too laggy if you enable that option.
