Two Russian spys enter a compound occupied by terrorist. Their cover is blown and they have to evacuate the area.
Reznov, the guy that isn't wounded in the picture
Dimitri, the guy that is wounded in the picture
Yankar, the terrorist getting shot in the picture
Reznov: We have to get out of here Dimitri they're behind us!
Dimitri: Yes sir I'll follow you sir!
Reznov: This guy Yankar is behind all of this! Command has sent vehicles for us to travel in.
Reznov: Wait, what was that? Shhh.
Loud crash
Reznov: LOOK THERE'S YANKAR!
Dimitri: Lookout sir on that tower!
Dimitri leaps infront of Reznov blocking a sniper bullet.
Story picks up at the picture...

Nope, it's a limitation of BSP, it cuts everything up for optimization.
