Yesterday, I hosted for a few hours. I built stuff, people joined, worked fine. I went out to supper, came back, and tried to host a server for my clan. Dead. No settings changed.
What's going on here?

Maybe your internet went out for a little bit, you'll have to port forward again, that has happened to me. Or someone accidentally unplugged the router and put it back in.

How can I port forward again when all the settings are still set the same?

Clear them and do it again, that's what I had to do. I know, it doesn't make any sense but it worked for me.

You skipped the step where you set your machine to use a static IP address.

I actually have a static IP. I had to set one so that my brother could join my server.
