Mines trigger with pressure so....yea you could throw a round building object at it and it would work
not to mention blow you off the face of the Earth (like the Japanese and Pearl Harbor :3

Depends on how the mine has been set up. If it is above ground, yeah you could probably set it off. And then it depends on how far below ground it is. I know mines can and have been triggered in Japan by children throwing stones around.
