We haven't had a post quoting 4 year old models in a while.

Part two of the car model. WIP interior. Lots of stuff to do, like model front and rear seats, make things look a little more interesting on those upper doors, add some more detail to the dash as a whole. Currently, the front of the car is done.

Hi!

Decided to mess around with Blender and started working on this generic late 80's/early 90's car.

It's nothing special so far. Wheel textures are from HL2, it would be much better if I had someone making textures for me as I'm absolutely rubbish at computer art.

looks like that's coming on nicely! I'd be happy to try my hand at texturing if you want. I've not really done a lot of realistic-looking textures before though, so it might be a hit-and-miss sort of thing.

It's a [GMC Brand] [Generic 90's Car Name]

If you could do that, I would be extremely delighted!

yeah i'd be happy to have a go at it - just send over the finished model when you're done and i can get on with unwrapping and baking and texturing and all that pizzazz. (you're welcome to unwrap and bake the ao yourself if you want)

I made a gun in MilkShape with a complex animation but the gun was a little too big ingame, so I decided to scale it down. How do you scale a model with the joints and not messing the animation?

I don't think that's possible in Milkshape 3D...

Click 'Tools'
Then click 'Scale All...' at the bottom.

Also you can change the scale of the dts in the exporter (default is 0.1, so 0.05 would export it half the size, etc.) and I'm sure you can also scale the gun through script.

-snip-

Holy stuff, I was wondering where have you been these days?

On an unrelated note:

slight progress
