im pretty sure zbrush can handle over 1,000,000 polygons..

Well then, you haven't looked hard enough through the internet. It's called Bryce, and I use it more than I use Blender to tell the truth. It's very user-friendly, and more easy than Blender, so I would recommend this for people wanting to do awesome renderings.

Yes, Zbrush can handle over 1 million polygons, but I honestly wouldn't use it myself.

Bryce is primarily for just rendering scenes, so animating in it is almost impossible. Carrara (what I use :D) is basically Bryce with more features and animating abilities, so if you're thinking about animating you might want to look into Carrara.

Yes, I realize animating is nearly impossible, I just make still images with it.
