how'd you get that sharp edge between the two smooth parts of the belly? teach me, whenever I smoothshade it always tries to turn the whole thing into one smooth surface

(In blender) I selected all the faces I wanted to smooth, went to the shading/UV's tab on the left, hit Smooth under faces, selected the edges I wanted to sharpen, and did CTRL-E > Edge Split
