You do realize this site is biased right? My opinon may be just that, an opinion, but unlike the whole bandwaggon theory, my opinion is grounded around factual events that I've witnessed and been through. Take it as you will.

and there are also some facts that most people do not seem to know(see quote by CapTMeaT).  Basically what it all boils down to is that every community has handicaps, somethingawful.com must have just had more than the normal amount, but I wasn't there so I wouldn't know.

This is what I'm getting at with furries, they take it a few million steps too far and are constantly bombarding whoever disagrees with them. And they are also constantly trying to brainwash people to their side of things. There hasn't been much of an impact here yet so you guys have no idea at all what I'm talking about, fine, but I'm keeping my guard up.

I stumbled upon it years back, looked at it, and it was clearly biased. Believe it if you want until you get your own hard evidence to prove yourself otherwise.

I made a pretty long-winded rant about how furries should stay locked up in their fursuit closet. It was knowledge from direct experience on top of that since the forum I'm from had a huge deal with furries and ended up perma-banning every single furry there because everyone was just fed up with them being tremendous friends.

Here's how it goes. Generally furries want to be universally accepted on the internet, so they post their furry things and you know, generally come out of the closet. They like to flaunt their furry stuff in order to try to convert people for some reason (see Tails' avatar as an example, Packer's last avatar which was removed). Now the thing is people make fun of them, which is pretty much normal on the internet where people will make fun of everything and everyone. But, instead of just taking the joke, furries will get upset and retaliate as much as they can. Ok fine, so what's the big deal here? They take it way too loving far.

Where I came from it got so bad that the furries were referring to themselves as a race (of animal/human hybrids), and calling everyone national socialists trying to kill them, claiming they were receiving death threats, etc. They were mass banned ultimately for disobeying rules as a group (no research, no mind loving images, no stupid stuff). But still up to that point I learned pretty much everything there is to know about furries, and that's why I hate them.

The only good kind of furry is the one that doesn't loving spurt out that he's a furry, to everyone's knowledge such a being does not exist.

I see now, I guess.

Look, I am not trying to "push beliefs or preferences on you" I just am trying to get people to understand what they hate before they choose to hate it, if you hate furrys that's your own right, just don't hate something you don't understand.

Again, every community has handicaps, including the furry community, based on what ive heard from muffinmix, It seems to me that the furry community on somethingawful was just not addressed on the somethingawful forums untill it grew out of control, It looks like if an admin had stepped in at the right time, the entire problem could have been averted, correct me if im wrong though, again I wasn't there.

yes there are furrys that look at anthropomorphic research, but not all furrys look at/draw furry research, the first post is an example of that, there is nothing to hate about it, all I see is a goat with human hair and a heart in the corner of the picture, it's not research so whats the big problem?

I've never cared for furries.  Never saw what was so great about them.  But meh...  Everything is a special interest to someone.  No matter how forgeted up or handicapped it may be.

i don't care much for furry special interestests but i don't have anything AGAINST them, i actually know/am friends with a few

as long as they don't try to get me to join in, i'm perfectly fine with them
