Author Topic: Blockland at school.  (Read 3143 times)

XD this is cool i wish this happened to me

Wait why is playing Blockland a bad thing? It's an awesome fun game. I mean people care to much about there image, when someone asks me what I do when I'm not in school I say the truth: Blockland and World of Warcraft.

Too bad the computer labs at my school are run like national socialist Germany. They have this specail soft ware on it so if you're logged in on a teacher account you can watch the activity of every computer it's synchronized with, and it also keeps student accounts out of everything that wasn't pre-approved during setup. I could download Blockland, but I wouldn't be able to install it, because I can't get into the hard drive. Not to mention whenever the teacher says "anything you want", at my school, that means any of the websites on a special list, which are usually study island and funschool, or whatever the hell they call it.

Downloading stuff at my school means perma-computer-ban. D:
Basically our computers have Microsoft office, the internet, and paint. The drafting rooms have CAD programs.

I was at a LAN party and they were watching me be an idiot on BL while I hit stuff with jeeps and their conversation was funny.

it went like this (I never said anything :3)

1: What is that?
2: It's Blockland.
1: How do you know?
2: That's what it says on his case.
1: huh.
2: You can drive.
1: What how do you know?
2: He is driving.

It was weird.

i would love to play it at school but at my school yo are not allowed to download anything, if you try the computer freezes. over half the computers in the school cant play or watch anything online because everything requires the new versions of Flash player or Java script. and the IT teachers decide its better to spend money on loads of new computer consoles that end up breaking  or being destroyed eyet they wont download the free things needed to do most anything on the internet, ridiculous.

So in the end IT lessons fail because everyone in the class needs to view certain webpages and review pictures and what not but only 2 out of 25 people can do it.

but anyways i would like to play blockland at school, but no doubt the actual download page would be filtered. everything is. even if you type in "copyright" into google and search that page is banned for some stupid reason. part of the school websdite is blocked too. weird.

I SMELL A CONSPIRACY!

On-Topic: That's pretty cool.

Kid1: What game do you like to play allot? I play Halo.
Kid2: Sweet, I play allot of Gears of War.
Kid3: Hah, you guys got nothing, I play Blockland!  :cookieMonster:

Yea, would be social Self Delete at my school...

Same.

Kid 1: What game do you all like to play? I LIKE HALO LOL
Kid 2: Halo.
Kid 3: Halo.
Kid 4: Halo.
Kid 5: Halo.
Kid 6: Halo
Kid 7: Halo
...
Kid 20: Halo.

Me: World of Warcraft.

*receives 20 threatening glares*

Kids 1-20 in unison: GTFO!

*beatdown initiates*

(at my school)
kid 1: What do you guys play?
kid 2: World of warcraft!
(repeat to twenty)

I now have a slight hatred for the game as thats all people at school talk about.

Also, we're suppost to have strict computer policies and stuff here. However, everyone DLs Firefox as soon as they get on as it is epic. We have our own little drives accessible from any computer in school that we DL stuff into. Its very nice. Infact, I needed to download something into c:/ a bit ago so I installed my own Windows XP. When the computer broke later (Unrelated), the tech guys saw this and laughed and gave me the admin password for the computer.

nope, just pure Idiocy and Bullcrap at my school. most of the teachers wouldnt even understand the word Conspiracy

I hate this a LOT:

Kid 1: What do you play?
Me: Oh, I dunno, guitar hero or something?
Kid 1: Oh what a nerd

Kid 2: What do you play?
Kid 1: Guitar hero
Kid 2: OH YEAH LET'S PLAY ON XBOX LIVE YEAAAH

Yeah.

Last year they banned kids from going on Google because some kid stumbled on a research website and watched it for the whole of computer class (about an hour), so they have all these handicapped restrictions on games.

You're going to be one of those douchebags in college that only other douchbags like.
Haha. Does douche bag fit the description or is it more like geek or something?
Anyway, I already am(besides the college part) a lot of people think of me as weird, haha I've also been called freak a couple times, I don't know why though if someone looked at me they'd think I'm normal but I guess once people get to know me they see I'm different.
