Author Topic: Team Fortress 2: Predict the next class update  (Read 3928 times)

Bushido and I were talking about when the next class update will be for TF2, and what will it be. Here, if you want, you can vote which remaining classes should be updated next and post what you think they should have in them.

Eh, think I might send it to Valve, might give 'em a jumpstart. Get your creative minds working, guise.

Mine:

Engineer

- Spy Detector, detects spies in the vicinity of 30 feet. Can be attatched to all buildables. Unlocked at level 20 (?).

- (Bushido's Idea) (Unnamed) Super-Style wrench, coloured red (Or something?) that the Engi whips around and hits people back a bunch of feet.

Spy

- Spy-O-Tron 4000 (Upgraded version!) Allows the spy to perform all taunts, and not catch on fire from Pyros (Maybe.).

Some sort of thing for the engineer that makes his buildables weaker but last longer against sappers.

Sniper.
Rifle upgrade would shoot through walls and knife would be a boomerang. Dunno about the pistol though.

- Spy-O-Tron 4000 (Upgraded version!) Allows the spy to switch between his disguise's weapons, perform all taunts.
You can already do this, read the scout update patch notes.

Barrett-style rifle <3

THAT's why it says "Disguise weapon: (FirstWeaponHere)."

... Checking thisout

secretly a sniper rifle?

YES, been waiting for one of these

Engineer:

•Monkey Wrench, Does less damage to enemies, is 10% more metal efficient (100 metal = 110 upgrade), and a critical hit on a sentry is twice as efficient (100 metal = 200 upgrade points)(replaces wrench)

Spy:

•Poison knife, poisons enemies for as much as burning does, except at 1/2 the speed. He can also use this to poison medi-kits, which will also give enemies the poison damage. The poison will last for 15 seconds before it disappears, and the infected medi-kit will give off a green glow every 5 seconds, just to be fair.(replaces butterfly knife)

•Tazer- Like thing: Shoot it at sentries, but it takes numerous hits, as the electricity is powered by a weak battery. 3 Hits will take out a level 1 sentry, 5 for a level 2, and 7 for a level 3. This can also hurt enemies very slightly, and stun them for 2 seconds. (replaces electro sapper)

Soldier:

•RPG: Slower rocket that does slightly more damage, and has a slightly bigger explosive radius. Flings enemies farther.

Not going to happen.
ehh...meh,i didn't really think about it when i posted.that was the first thing that came to mind.

What's the advantage over instakill backstabs?

Please, no more stuns, natascha and sandman are bad enough as it is...

Demo:

C4 launcher:
Timed sticky that attaches to enemies
total of four per clip with 16 ammo total
replaces stickies

land mine:
a land mine
two total no refill
replaces sticky

beer
heals you
lv 7 lunchbox
replaces broken bottle

Yes I am aware this is slightly overpowered. Land mines would have a very small blast radius and to kill a pyro/soldier would take both of them to make it slightly less OP. Screw scout, engi, and spy for a banana peel would kill em.

did you bother to read the rest of the sentence? You can poison medikits. Now if you see a heavy coming at you and the passage is too thin to cloak-trick him, then you can just poison the medikit if he is hurt.

edit: I'm saving 9 million kilobytes by switching to geico using disk clean-up, like 3 million of those are recycle bin

Or a cloak friendly knife that would take 3 hits to kill.

Spy. Valve has a pattern, and the spy is the next in that pattern.

Valve also has a pattern to not follow what is expected.
