Ever think to stop coming to the servers? Not all of us are the best scripters in the world.
My problem is that
every server seems to have broken Add-Ons because people keep on badly making them. If I can get people to make decent Add-Ons, or just stop making bad ones, then I've helped.
Every gets excited about their first sword edit or working car.
I'd advise people not to show off or release these Add-Ons unless they're actually decent quality. If you get it working, great - keep it to your own
single player server as a resource to use later. Do not release
or show off that sort of thing.
So, if the add-on isn't as good as your TDM mod or all your other stuff, it fails?
If the Add-On is broken, causes console errors or adds nothing new to the game and is pointless, it fails.
All add-ons are pretty much an edit of each other in a way. the Mini nuke has a bigger explosion then the rocket. The nerf gun has edited bullets.
And that's why I don't like them. I prefer the Add-Ons that add a decent new concept to the game. A sniper rifle-like weapon had never been done before when Kaje made his. I had no problem with this. Then everyone started making them. The first few "machine guns" released after Ephialtes' Sawn-Off Shotgun spread code were fine. Then we ended up with about twenty identical ones based off exactly the same code and damage, that was not fine.
I would love to know where I showed any signs of anger as a response.
Just because some people go outside and don't sit on the computer all day doesn't mean that they suck. Every other vehicle is the same thing. You are so busy dissing my add-ons and strato's add-ons that you fail to notice that not everyone is as good as you.
