Author Topic: My 360 is screwed, what should I do.  (Read 4564 times)

The electrical cords? I suppose that could be the problem, since after I played my PS2 (I am out of date with these things -_-' ) Then the Xbox failed. About 4 hours before I used the PS2, it worked fine.

Yeah when my second xbox broke I played it fine, then I went to my dad's for a few days then came back and I got the red rings.

Not the electrical cords, the A/V cords.
Those little colorful wires?

The Little colorful wires you put into your TV?Those little colorful wires?
Yes.
Just google your problem with your xbox. If you dont know what something is google it :P

That's strange because my xbox is on now and I took out the cords then turned it on, I did not get rings.

Possibly, the cords were not in all the way?

From which end, the TV or the Xbox?

You would only get rings if the xbox end was messed up. (this happened to me D: )

Well, I can check it plug-in for the A/V cords.

EDIT: The A/V plug-in is fine, but when I just lightly tilt it, I heard something rolling or sliding inside of it. :/

try blowing in the Av in, there might be dust or pet dander in there.

Wouldn't wrapping the 360 in towels and letting it stay on just make it hotter because all the air and stuff is trapped inside and cannot escape?

It would also VOID teh warranty.

Wrong and Wrong.
The theory behind overheating it is that you're heating the solder components, essentially re-soldering them into place.  It doesn't void the warranty, either.

i tried the towel thing and it never worked

It doesn't work for every problem, not every problem is related to solder..
