Author Topic: TDM - Build to the top / build challenge.  (Read 718 times)

A TDM that challenges the teams to build to a certain point. The teams would have to cross a valley or build a tall tower. Of course, there will be no killing.

Rules:
Build time: [integer] If a team does not get there in time. then no one else can build. anything =< 0 is infinite time.

Brick delay time: [integer] The time between each placement of a brick for an idividual. This would involve the team to work with each other.

All players: [check box] All players must be touching the winner's zone to win. If unchecked, it will allow a team to win with one player.

Players to win: [integer] Will work only if All players is off. It tells how many players there need to be in order to win.


Special bricks:
Build zone brick: A zone where a team can build while in this TDM. No other team can buiild in this zone and a team can not build outside of it.

Success brick: the place where the team must be to win.

Great idea! I was thinking about something like this. Maybe there would only be a couple of preset bricks players could use. And in addition to the Brick delay time, maybe a sort of ammo-type thing? It would be a plate that players would touch to charge up their "brick meter", then, everytime the place a brick, the meter would decrease.

You're right, this IS original, more original than quite a few ideas. But wouldn't everyone need their build trust to build to the point? And wouldn't it be complex to make something react when a BRICK touches it?

No, with phys zones you can disable trust in that area. Then with the stuff touching bricks, events were made to be like code. So if an event can be called for something touching a brick, then it can be done in script.

Oh, ok. I think I get it better now.

There can also be some stuff for building a mountain challenge that it has to have ta least # much bricks OR this # of bricks from each brick section.

I like it but there should be a killing on/off box, for the times you want it to be extra hard.

You guys are not getting it.

Build to location + possible shooting of bricks to stop enemy + teamwork = game mode that does not suck.
