I used to play it but it got rather mundane really quickly. It was amusing enough for me to escape reality of a bad breakup here and there, but otherwise, grinding to get stuff just so you can grind harder stuff to get better stuff only to peak out and do nothing but pvp because there's nothing better to do? Nah, I'll pass.

Anoobus (dwarf pally ret spec) - Kil'Jaden

I unfortunately played it for a bit too, private server ofcourse.. who the hell is dumb enough to actually pay for this game, i dont know lol.

the only thing private doesnt have yet is working Wrath of the Lich King....so far ALL of Burning Crusade works on private server (as I have seen, im only level 30)

Have a fun ban.

I thought its piracy if you download the game, I know i bought it from walmart...

I myself play on a private server due to one reason...my computer cannot handle the amount of players that are online at average on official..(hundreds of thousands online, and hundreds in every area, hell stormwind locks my computer up)

private servers are more stable for me due to low playercount (max 500 playercount on server I play)

also its not piracy in my case since I bought the game and TBC (didnt know about private when I did)...

when/if I upgrade my computer im going back to official, since then I will be able to run while rendering hundreds of players at one time (that and less bugs/crashes)..

(rendering problems is why I quit playing most MMORPG's, too many people idle in main towns in merchant mode)

the horrors of having a 12 year old dell.
So, when you don't pay for anything after you buy a game, when you require to pay, makes it legal?  Get some logic.  Also, she was talking about piracy, that's a bannable offense here.

Private servers are pirating then?

Oh, by the way, because I don't want a fine.  It's cheaper to pay for the game monthly.  And yes, because you are getting a service that isn't free for free.

This is true. Not paying the monthly fee Blizzard set, but still playing through an unofficial server is illegal.

very much so

K. Never played on a private server for any game, wasn't really sure how they worked.
