Jumping in cold water should instantly halve your heat level. If you exit quickly, it recovers slightly. (if you stay out for a few seconds, but not if you just keep jumping in and out of the water on the surface)

I might actually be able to make a map that has an animated sun, that will update the map every so often, and I might be able to do that blizzard idea. Yay for scripting! =o

It won't update the map. Lighting is baked into the terrain/interiors as you load the map.
I'm totally shocked that this hasn't failed yet - I guess it just goes to show how ignorant you guys are. :(

You light the map as a final stage before spawning.
