The Projectile has to be approximately within the ring, and it has to be near you. You do not have to hit it exactly.

no. that's not possible, and you're confusing events and scripting.

The Airblast there only pushes people, it doesn't reflect projectiles.

if your talking about the tf2 compression blast, it deflects rockets and demoman bombs. it can also push sticky bombs away and blow people away as you already stated
