Biblenuts don't realize that a divine-created purpose is not mandatory for everything. The thing about life is that every person should find their own purpose in the world. That is what we seek, and unfortunately many have answered this simply with religion, without thinking for themselves. And Joe205, I'm very tired right now so I'm not going to restate the same things over and over, just please look at mine and everyone else's previous posts in this thread. Your points have been raised and answered several times before, just read. |

I'm tired of seeing that stupid Epicurous quote, so I'm going to tell a story. There once was a man who went to go get his hair cut. He went to the barber, sat in the chair and said to the barber, "I don't believe in God, if he was real, why is there so much pain and suffering in the world?" The barber talked about God and his beliefs until the man finished getting his hair cut. He paid the barber, and left. Outside, a homeless person walks up to man, he says, "I don't believe in that barber, if he was real, why are there so many men walking around with long hair?" The moral of the story? You can't just do nothing and expect God to fix your problems, you have to seek him. |

Ok last post here, you don't even have to read this: --- Quote from: WRB852 on May 24, 2009, 11:35:09 PM ---Thanks for pulling numbers out of your butt. Anyways, the odds are that seeing as there's so loving many planets in the universe, ONE has to have the right conditions for life, right? Don't talk unless you know what you're talking about. A long time ago, a guy created the conditions of early earth in tubes and vials, then put electricity through it simulating lightning. When he looked inside, he found complex amino acids - the building blocks of life. It's not as crazy as you think. Life is actually pretty likely to occur from a big bang. --- End quote --- One planet could have the conditions for life, your completely correct there. I wouldn't be surprised if Mars had all the conditions for life. There could even be some form of life there. Then as far as that experiement goes, beleive or not I do remember reading about that. You can call me a lair. The complex amino acids was the protein I was talking about. Explain to me though, could the lightning cuase life, or just create amino acids. If you take some dead body, then zap it again with the perfect amount of electricty, would it come back alive again, or not. I'm not the smartest man in the world, but that doesn't mean that I don't always know what I'm talking about. I'm done arguing, this is your topic so have it your way, I tryed to get my point across, but now I'm done. --- Quote from: Hugums on May 24, 2009, 11:59:22 PM ---To break the argument and start a new one BURN IN HELL HEATHENS! --- End quote --- thx for trying. Warning - while you were typing a new reply has been posted. You may wish to review your post. I've gotten that several times now, can I just post this and go to bed? |

--- Quote from: Digmaster on May 20, 2009, 06:58:22 PM ---Creationism is so gull of logical holes I don't feel like typing all of them out. Worm brought up a good one, or there's that adam and eve only had two sons, no daughters.. thus they had no one to have love with. Also there's a huger ammount of evidence, from evidence, from evolution in action, to profe of the big bang. Suck on that. --- End quote --- Eve. |

The Bible never says they didn't have a daughter. |
