Author Topic: Server red when banned  (Read 578 times)

It would be nice if when you are banned, the server name on the list turns red. Just a thought.

No.

It won't work too easily. Unless in the server query it gets a "status report" from the server.

Get out.
I'm sure you know how everything works.

First, the server list is grabbed from http://master.blockland.us/master/index.asp
(all the master sever does is just display server IPs and info)

Then, your client pings all servers to find out if they're dead or not. This is where we can find out if someone is banned or not.

This is not a suggestion for a mod, but a suggestion for a future version of the game.

I think it is a very great idea, the only limitation is if it is possible. According to Kalphiter, it cant.

I was guessing that

I don't think Badspot is going to make the master server output your ban list.

Again, read, the server is taking care of it:

Chrono means the server would have to upload the banlist to the master server..
edit: oh you mean check when you ping the server.

The master server doesn't have much of a load, anyway.
A few connections per second, send some text, and that's it.

But why would it go to the master server? We want it to go client-to-player's server.
