Yah my dad has it his laptop hasn't crashed once O:
The only crashes I get are from other software itself, i.e. L4D crashed once for some reason and AoM always crashed being the unpatched game it is.

Dunno why you guys use it, costs a stuff-load of money and requires some stupid equipment for something that's a small improvement over dvd. But I guess if it works then shoot.

small improvements? SMALL IMPROVEMENTS?

I own a stack of DVD's that can hold 4.7gb. I also own several rewritable 25gb bluray CD's/.

Small improvement my ass. Blurays can hold up to 500gb.

i will give you a dozen floppy disks if you can get her underwear

Cost vs. effect, and I have no idea where you got that 500gb figure, maybe if the disk was crafted by nanomachines but right now blu-ray disks are capped at 50gb at most (dual sided). 500gb ones are not on this planet anyways.

Essentially I'd rather pay a quaint 30-40 dollars for a cheap dvd player then 200+ for a blu-ray player. I'll be watching the same old movies so I won't see much of a difference.

I guess memory storage helps but the cost to switch over to them is a bit too much for my tastes. I'll wait for the 500gb ones.

thats what they said about cds, then dvds.
in most cases you do pay more to keep up with the new toys.

any starfish can buy nice things long after it dont even matter anymore

I'm sticking with what works at no extra expense, until what I currently have ceases working or I absolutely need something better. Most people follow this dogma. When you buy something do you buy the product? Or the "thing" that matters now?

Well forget. Still, no need. I can barely fill up a 100GB hard drive. I can't even begin to imagine what I would do with 5 extra hard drives, probably nothing.

Actually I got Vista x64 because only 3.5 out of 4 GB of my RAM was seen and 64-bit computing.

I thought 32-bit could only read 3GB.

It really read 3.5GB?

yah its about 3.4 max on 32bit OS

128gigs of memory on x64
