how do i get rid of guilt without confessing?

I think the only way to get rid of guilt is to confess it, even better, talk about it with someone. Lieing to yourself will get you nowhere.

Try to ease out of lie by gradually confessing. And do it so gradually no one notices. Thats what I do.

You can go to confession if you're catholic.
