I don't feel like patching the Snapshot for my texture pack, installing ModLoader and Convenient Inventory, then finding out it probably doesn't work and having to remove it and either play without or switch back

I use this one. Just dump all your .jar files into the JARS folder, and you can switch them freely. I used to use this: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/514289-tool-minecraft-jar-switcher-and-backup-tool-v10/ But modding files was a pain because it the way this works is by repacking your jars in a .rar file or something. Basically, to mod a file, you must delete it from the list and re-add it each time. That, or mod the rar, which in either case is more of a pain.

I have soooo many versions of Minecraft.jar ever since indev and I have like at least 10 versions of each with different mods installed.
