Because of my bad internet I just want to run around in singleplayer with at least a more interesting battle mechanic --- End quote --- Tinker's Construct + Asgard Shield adds weapons and shields, haven't seen anything that provides the other mechanics |

Minecraft is a horrible game if you look at it from a different perspective, even if you aren't nitpicking. --- End quote --- Don't forget whales, red dragons, a more exciting nether, mob attack animations, capture-the-flag, fully functional villager AI, reintroduced sponges... And the stuff they ARE adding that they promised is only after a solid year or 2. |

--- Quote from: Bisjac on August 06, 2013, 12:59:06 AM ---why does minecraft have such a stuffty mod system? the game has a minor update like every month, and it breaks all mods. by the time all modders update their stuff its days away from another minor game update to break it all yet again. not to mention i have to redownloaded and loving add the mods manually every single time. there are mod managers that should be able to do all this for us, but they dont do anything but test compatibility... it makes playing a long term game very frustrating. --- End quote --- If you're managing a bunch of mods manually, you're doing it wrong. Outside of using modpacks like FTB or Tekkit, I only bother keeping one or two of my mods updated for various reasons, such as incompatibilities with other mods, simply not being available in a pack, or just wanting to play with that specific mod. |

Almost always, there's a pack in both instances that will fill your interest. That is, if you're a normal person and are actually tired of vanilla gameplay. Even then, who wouldn't want to go to the loving moon? |
