Yeah, turns out the game was NOT mod friendly, originally. In terms of making sure things could overlap, not hate each other, etc, they have to keep making big background changes to make it all compatible. Most people do changes to the game like this in one single patch, but they have been doing Mod API-related updates piece-by-piece. That's why it seems to take so long and they keep saying changes are toward it.

Also, while fun, be careful with bat stacks. There was a problem whereas bats would despawn if changing to peaceful, but it seems like they fixed that... So my world is infested with bats now...

So I've been thinking about starting up my minecraft server again. I dont think I've ever posted it here, but yeah.

I'm just not sure if I should. I've had this concept for a server going around in my mind for awhile, but I'm not sure if I want to go through the effort of setting up a server that wont get anywhere.

halp plz. y/n

HellHound:

So... what is this concept?

I'm still working it out in my head, and im not even entirely sure if it could work.

Basically its a roleplaying/survival/pvp server. In the beginning you get to choose 1 of four races. After that you spawn in 1 of four spawn points, one for each race.

From there you can do whatever the forget you want. Survive, pvp against the other races, idc. Its not really any ground breaking idea, but I was hoping that if I ever get a player base large enough, I could start coordinating events and stuff against the races.

The next episode of South Park will apparently have something to do with Minecraft.
