A joke is more funny when you aren't told the punchline in advance
MegaScientifical:
I don't see how Comedy Central saying "Hey, we were thinking to reference your game." and Mojang saying "Awesome." spoils a punch line. Once again, they found out through rumors originally. That's a bit awkward considering how free these people are. That's all I'm saying, too. I'm not saying something should have happened or whatever.
Regulith:
why would they tell mojang

nobody does that

that is a thing that has never happened in the history of parodies

Season 10, Episode "Make Love, Not Warcraft". Blizzard made the in game animations and assisted with the creation of that one episode.
There is a disclaimer in the beginning of each show that states everything shown is completely fictional and all similarities to the real world are purely coincidental, so if anyone is still going about how the team behind SP should have asked for permission to reference Mojang's games, I'm letting you know that you're wrong.

EDIT: I just watched the episode. It was pretty damn funny.

it's a satirical tv show
they don't ask permission of the people they satire
ever

asking permission isn't the same as what he's saying

as tonkka said, blizzard was in on the episode they made about WoW and actively contributed to it.
