I don't think he actually hates the game, he's complaining about how he stupidly lost a bunch of stuff he worked hard for

i legitimately don't enjoy vanilla minecraft anymore
it's not fun after the charm of the game wears off
i can still be interested in the game when it's got a nice modpack on because the game has good potential; the mechanics are there, there just isn't enough meat on the bones to keep me entertained. except the combat mechanics lol

Vanilla the game's extremely lacking, I myself don't understand the appeal of buying a console version when the base game is so lacking in content.
