I'd deeply appreciate anyone who can explain to me in detail as how to get Rei's minimap to work. I have it in the mods folder for Forge 1.7.2 and I have the minimap 1.7.2 version yet it doesn't appear in-game.

also texturepacks have really sparked my interest in minecraft again

I have a 128px texture pack from a while back before I upgraded my gpu and power supply
When I put it on it gave me like half an fps it was so frustrating
