They aren't choosing to be hated.

What? I know. But if gays are so hated, why would someone want to be gay?

Gays aren't really hated.  As Ephialtes said, alot more people are tolerant of it.

It's called a recessive gene meaning you parents have it but it doesn't show. Learn about it in school.

I learned about it, but it isn't a recessive gene. Mainly because you've done it yourself.

According to your belief about recessive genes, if you're addicted to videogames, your parents must be.

All humans have an addiction to something, it just depends what from person to person so that's a pretty poor brown townogy. And on the topic of choosing to be gay - This is sort of true to an extent. Gay/bi people figure out something's up when they start getting attracted to guys (and girls) and from there you either have the option to just accept it and be cool with it, or suppress it and pretend like it never happened. For example, I know of a few people who admitted to being gay when they were around 40 and married. That works for some people but for others it just kind of eats away at you and in the end you either get over it and just accept it or go crazy. Talking from own experience again, I tried to ignore it for like 5 years but you've gotta get over it eventually - sooner the better i suppose.

But you don't get to choose who you're attracted to really, I just don't think it works like that.
