That's called Apathy.
I don't support Gay marriage soley because that's my beliefs. Even if it is genetic, I'd consiter it a mutation. It doesn't mean that I treat them differently than I would any other person.

They started removing all rights from Jews, only because they were Jews, and Riddler thought Judaism was wrong.
Now we're not allowing gays to marry, just because they're gay, and some people think homoloveuality is wrong.
Even if it is a choice, we're removing the rights of people. It's not right to deny them of the freedom to marry. They're people, too.
The Jews weren't hurting anyone. The gays aren't hurting anyone. They surely aren't hurting anyone by marrying each other.
