All movement in video games is an illusion. Its simply the replacing of an object to a new position.

How come, then, my movement is an "illusion" simply because there's an extra step to be taken(that being making a duplicate object)?

Also I cant post the link because there are a lot of bugs to be hammered out and I get the vague feeling that badspot would kill me.

Toward first sentence: Of course, but typically it's fluid, insinuating the object actually moved. Doors for instance, are an illusion. They are stationary, but run an animation.
Creating a new object would be another form of 'illusion'.

Anyway, I'm actually curious to see how you pulled it off.
