Add-ons won't appear in-game

I installed a map to my Add-Ons folder without extracting the .zip (like it says not to), and nothing was different when I went to start a game. Also, I don't seem to have access to any of the add-ons that are installed while joining servers, is that normal?

When you did Start game did you check it off on the add-on list?

About your add-ons not showing up...
Are you leaving Blockland open when you download these add-ons?
If so, try restarting Blockland first.

Yes, I close it and open it, and nothing else is there, just the default maps.
