You can see Black holes because there so massive and have so much gravity that even light gets sucked in but you can see the matter spiraling into it.

If light is sucked in then the light reflecting off of the matter going into it that you would normally see is sucked in, therefore you cannot see black holes. The only real way to see them is to look for NOTHING in one spot.
