I was thinking of a turret gatling gun like a sentry from tf2

Can't you build this?
Use 1x1 bricks a 8x8 plate.
Mark 4 bricks red and use the on activate/spawn projetile/ rocket.

    I think this is it.

Then it's not really movable, placable or maintanable as the TF2 one is.
