Starting a Dedicated Turns On All Add-Ons..

Sometimes, when I start a dedicated server, it turns all my Add-Ons on and loads them into the server. Any ideas why, or how I could stop it?

Try starting a single-player server with only the add-ons you want on.When you spawn,exit.Close BL using the main menu quit button.Then dedicated.bat or dedicatedLAN.bat.It WILL ALWAYS load all add-ons,but not use them.If this does not work,ask someone else.

I found a way around this

Before you click dedicated.bat or dedicatedLAN.bat, go into your game, hit start new game, pull up the add-ons menu, check and uncheck the ones you you do and dont want on, hit ok, go back into the add-on window and leave it up. Then start your server with it up like that. Dont close it until the server is fully up. I hope it works for you as it did me.

Badspot:

Any add-ons not already listed in the add_on_list.cs file will be enabled when you start a dedicated server.  This is to make it easier to install add-ons on a real dedicated server (ie one with no 3d video card)
