God dammit... Metallica, Slayer, Iron Maiden, Godsmack, they're all good bands. Maybe not to you but there are probably more fans than the opposition. Also, Godsmack is alternative. Grunge if you will such as Alice In Chains (forget Nirvana, more like glam). GnR is glam. RATM is more rap than metal since Tom Morello only plays with a foot pedal.
