This raises a question: is this clan serving a purpose at all?

I mean, you've admitted yourself that there haven't been many newbies in distress lately, and I don't seem to remember more than one or two in my few years here.

But those few? I stood up for them without having to be in a clan, I did it because I felt it to be right.
On that note I really haven't helped that many, but I have one or two at the very least. You don't see me with a clan about it.

I don't like how you swayed so easily, still. The newbie flaming really isn't that intense here, only when it is called for.  The original goal was better and more fitting to these forums, but you went about it in a rash way.  You said (Or it was interpreted as): "We will make these forums turn around 100% in a short amount of time. Period." When you really should have said (With the goal of the interpretation to be): "We will focus on making these forums a better place, but we realize that it won't be 100% better in the end."
