I hurt my ankle in May. Still hurts a bit. I got it checked out though and had no fractures.

Yes you should get it checked.
My dad fell off a ladder a few days ago and hurt his foot and didn't decide to go to the doctor until the end of the day and found it it was sprained. It's basically really black, blue, swollen, and gross.
